THREE SCHEDULED MEETINGS: March 14, April 24 and May 21.

Many people have asked or e-mailed me to ask the dates for this year's ITL Summer Institute.

The dates will be August 11, 12, 13 and 14 from 8:30-3:00. Participants will be paid and lunch will be included.

It will follow last year's format, with different presenters and topics:

A planning committee will be meeting to work out the content and strategies, but presently we do have David Warlick as the keynote and workshop presenter on Day 1.

Kathy Schrock will present live for one hour from Second Life on Day 4.

There will probably be at least one other outside presenter.

The working theme is "New Literacies" and we will look at many of the issues addressed by Dr. Leu in his recent presentation at our district ITL meeting. (Efficient searching techniques, use of Web 2.0 technologies, identifying the relative advantage of the technology we use, selecting specific ITL objectives and other curriculum area objectives prior to planning the lesson(s), identifying assessment strategies related to the identified objectives...)

Registration for the ITL Summer Institute will be online and will be e-mailed to everyone BEFORE the April VACATION...
